Data Access and Ownership Policy
This policy outlines the terms related to data access, ownership, and use of data collected through GōZōN, Inc.’s platform, which provides event pass sales and merchandise sales management services. Our customers pay a subscription fee to list their events and products, and their fans can purchase them via a web or app interface.
1. Data Ownership
Customer Data: Customers (event organizers and merchandise sellers) retain full ownership of all the data they upload or provide to the platform, including but not limited to event details, product descriptions, images, pricing, and inventory levels (“Customer Data”).
Fan Data: Fans who purchase event passes or merchandise through the platform retain ownership of the personal data they provide during the transaction process, including but not limited to their name, email address, shipping information, and payment details (“Fan Data”).
Platform Data: We retain ownership of any data generated by the platform itself, including but not limited to system logs, analytics, and aggregated, anonymized transaction data that do not identify any individual customer or fan (“Platform Data”).
2. Data Access
Customers (event organizers and merchandise sellers): Customers have access to all the data they upload to the platform, as well as reports related to their event and merchandise sales, including individual fan purchases, aggregate sales figures, and revenue analytics. This access is available through their account dashboard.
Fans: Fans have access to their own transaction history, order confirmations, and any account-related information they provide when purchasing event passes or merchandise.
Platform Administrators: Platform administrators may access Customer Data and Fan Data for purposes of providing support, ensuring platform security, and maintaining the proper functioning of the service. Platform administrators will not disclose or use this data for purposes outside the scope of providing the platform’s services.
3. Data Usage
Customer Data: Customer Data will only be used for purposes of providing the platform’s services, including displaying event listings, managing sales transactions, and providing analytics to customers.
Fan Data: Fan Data will only be used to process transactions, communicate order status, and for customer service purposes. We may use anonymized Fan Data to improve the platform’s functionality and enhance the customer and fan experience.
Platform Data: Platform Data will be used to monitor the system’s performance, improve our services, and for internal analytics purposes. Aggregated and anonymized data may be shared publicly or with third parties for research or marketing purposes, but individual customers and fans will not be identifiable from this data.
4. Data Sharing
Third-Party Service Providers: We may share Customer Data and Fan Data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the platform, processing payments, or delivering merchandise. These providers are required to adhere to strict data protection standards and are only allowed to use the data for the purposes specified in their agreements with us.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose Customer Data and Fan Data if required to do so by law or in response to a valid request from law enforcement authorities.
5. Data Retention
Customer Data: Customer Data will be retained for the duration of the subscription period and for a reasonable period thereafter, unless the customer requests deletion of their data.
Fan Data: Fan Data will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Fans may request deletion of their personal data at any time.
Platform Data: Platform Data, particularly anonymized and aggregated data, may be retained indefinitely for internal analysis and reporting purposes.
6. Data Security
We employ industry-standard security measures to protect Customer Data, Fan Data, and Platform Data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include encryption, secure servers, and regular security audits.
7. Customer and Fan Rights
Access and Correction: Customers and fans have the right to access their data at any time and to request corrections to any inaccuracies.
Data Portability: Customers may request a copy of their data in a portable format.
Data Deletion: Customers and fans may request the deletion of their data. Upon receiving such a request, we will take reasonable steps to delete the data from our active systems, subject to any legal obligations to retain it.
8. Changes to the Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify customers and fans through the platform or via email. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of any such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
